Welcome to the Capital Chapter website! Our goal for this chapter is quite simple - to connect and serve the alumni of Central Arkansas. To facilitate connection, we host several social events throughout the year. We provide service by working at various events to raise funds for scholarships that are awarded to our Central Arkansas students heading to "The Hill." All in all we have fun socializing and working together. Please take time to visit this new and expanded webpage and get to know your Capital Chapter better. Capital Chapter Raises Money for Scholarships by Volunteering at Verizon Arena

Capital Chapter volunteers earned over $,7000 working concessions at Verizon Arena resulting in fourteen scholarships for Central Arkansas area students attending the University of Arkansas from 2009-2011. The biggest year for concerts and fundraising was 2010, earning over $3,200. 2012 is starting off well, already exceeding the 2011 total and earning two more scholarships.
Recently, the Capital Chapter thanked Tyler Thompson, past president of the Razorback Band Society, and John Holloway, current Capital Chapter president, for their volunteer efforts with Arkansas Alumni Association member baseball hats. Six additional volunteers will soon receive their baseball caps or visors for working the Verizon Arena concession stands. Thanks to all of our volunteers for helping make a difference for our future alumni! The Capital Chapter awards six $1000 scholarships to local students attending the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. For every $500 the Chapter contributes, the University of Arkansas Foundation matches to provide the $1000 scholarship. The University of Arkansas Foundation also matches individual contributions made directly on behalf of the Capital Chapter.
